The peak seasons are October to November (autumn) and March to April (spring), offering clear skies and comfortable temperatures ideal for trekking and sightseeing. Winter (December-February) is quieter with crisp mountain views, while the monsoon (June-August) brings lush greenery and fewer crowds. Sabina can help you plan the perfect trip regardless of season.
For peak season travel (October-November and March-April), we recommend booking 3 to 6 months in advance to secure the best luxury accommodations and permits. For off-peak travel, 1 to 2 months is usually sufficient. VIP2NEPAL can also accommodate last-minute requests depending on availability.
Most nationalities can obtain a visa on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu or at land border crossings. Tourist visas are available for 15, 30, or 90 days. Indian nationals do not require a visa. VIP2NEPAL provides detailed visa guidance as part of our pre-departure planning service.
A luxury Nepal experience typically ranges from $200 to $500+ per person per day, depending on the level of accommodation, activities, and trek route. VIP2NEPAL curates bespoke itineraries at various price points, ensuring exceptional value without compromising on quality or comfort.

Many trekking permits and high-altitude routes require proof of insurance. VIP2NEPAL can advise on the best policies for your itinerary.
Nepal offers treks for every fitness level. Gentle routes like the Poon Hill trek or Ghorepani loop require moderate fitness, while Everest Base Camp and the Annapurna Circuit demand stronger endurance. VIP2NEPAL will match you with the perfect trek and provide a training guide so you arrive prepared.
Altitude sickness is a real concern above 3,000 meters. Our experienced guides are trained in altitude illness prevention and recognition. We build gradual acclimatization days into every high-altitude itinerary, carry supplemental oxygen and first aid supplies, and have evacuation plans in place for emergencies.

Tipping is appreciated but not mandatory in Nepal. For trekking guides, a common tip is $15 to $20 per day, and for porters $8 to $10 per day, typically given at the end of the trek. In restaurants, a 10% tip is customary if service charge is not included. For drivers and hotel staff, small tips of 200 to 500 Nepali Rupees are appropriate. VIP2NEPAL provides a detailed tipping guide before your trip.
The Nepali Rupee (NPR) is the local currency. US dollars, euros, and British pounds can be exchanged at banks and licensed money changers in Kathmandu and Pokhara. ATMs are widely available in cities and accept major international cards, though they may be scarce on trekking routes. We recommend carrying cash in remote areas and notifying your bank before travel.

Our Family Adventure Package is designed specifically for this.
Photography is generally welcome throughout Nepal, but some temples, monasteries, and sacred sites restrict photography inside. Drone use requires a permit from the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal. VIP2NEPAL guides will advise you on the spot.
